Why it mattersWith Geneva no longer hosting its motor show in Switzerland, Auto Zürich has become the main venue where manufacturers present new models directly to Swiss buyers.
Auto Zürich will return to Messe Zürich from 5 to 8 November 2026, the organisers have confirmed. The show, which bills itself as Switzerland's largest live automotive event, expects around 72 brands and more than 80 model novelties, including a number of Swiss premieres.
Doors open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, according to Switzerland Tourism. Tickets are on sale through the event's official ticket shop.
A fixture since 1987
Founded in 1987, Auto Zürich has grown into the country's principal car show, a role that has become more prominent since the Geneva International Motor Show ceased to be held in Switzerland. The organisers state that the most recent edition sold 68,053 tickets.

The 2025 edition also introduced a partnership with auction house Broad Arrow, which held a collector-car sale at the Dolder Grand hotel in parallel with the show. The partnership continues this year with Broad Arrow's Zurich Auction 2026. Ringier has again published its annual car magazine in the run-up to the event.
What is new this year
Online marketplace carmarket has joined as the new presenting partner of Auto Zürich. Announced exhibits include the Alfa Romeo Tonale, the Aston Martin Valen, the Audi A2 e-tron and the Audi Q7.

The EV EXPERIENCE, a cross-brand advisory and test-drive platform for electric vehicles, returns after operating a test fleet of 46 electric cars in 2025. Test-drive slots for the 2026 show have been bookable since 1 October.
Hall 6 will again host the Manufactory & Classic area, combining small-series vehicles from the upper segments with historic cars. Motorcycles, long a part of the show, now have a dedicated Auto Zürich MOTO area built around a modular stand concept for two-wheeler exhibitors.
A Media Day ahead of the public opening is reserved for journalists, and exhibitors can use the show's Plug & Play system of fully prepared stands.
